The NMC Annual Meeting will be held at the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel -- the gateway hotel to New Orleans' most exciting destination -- the world famous French Quarter. Located where Bourbon Street meets Canal Street, the Astor Crowne Plaza allows for quick access to both the excitement of Bourbon Street and nearby downtown attractions of Harrah's Casino, Aquarium of the Americas, Riverwalk Shopping Center, Morial Convention Center, New Orleans Sports Arena and the Superdome.

Room rates are $149 single and $149 double (plus applicable state and local tax). All reservations are subject to availability and must be received by DECEMBER 27, 2007. Rooms may still be available after the cut-off date, but not necessarily at the convention rate. If rate requested is not available, the nearest available rate will be assigned. Your reservation must be guaranteed by one night's deposit or by credit card. Check-in time is 4:00 pm; check-out is 12:00 noon. Cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to the arrival date.

Please note that some nights may fill up prior to the cutoff date, so be sure to make your reservations early!

How To Get There
New Orleans is serviced by the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY), which is located 12 miles from the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel. Transportation between the airport and the hotel is available from through Airport Shuttle service or by taxi. The shuttle departs approximately every 30 minutes. The fee is $13 (one way). You can make reservations by calling 504-522-3500 or 866-596-2699. Reservations can also be made on the Airport Shuttle website at www.airportshuttleneworleans.com. The estimated taxi fare to the hotel is about $28 (one way).

Driving directions from the airport: Take I-10 East bound to I-10 New Orleans Business District, continue for approximately 2 miles to the St Charles Avenue Exit. As you exit, stay in the left hand lane and at the first traffic light, take a left onto Carondelet Street. Stay on Carondelet until you reach Canal Street. Take a right onto Canal Street (the hotel is on your left as you make this turn) and get into the left lane. Make the first u-turn available on Canal Street and circle back to the hotel on the corner of Bourbon and Canal Street (739 Canal Street).
