Overview
Conference Goal
and Theme
The goal of the NMC Regional Meeting is to disseminate information on
practical, on-farm aspects of udder health, mastitis control, milking
management and milk quality.
The theme of this years conference,Heat,
Humidity and High Quality Milk: Tackling the Summertime Blues,
will focus on topics relative to managing the environment, the cow and
the people involved with preventing mastitis and producing quality milk.
Who Should Attend
All individuals interested in mastitis control and quality milk production.
The program is geared towards producers, veterinarians, and other dairy
industry professionals who work directly with producers. Meeting attendees
include producers, veterinarians, dairy plant field staff, university
researchers and extension agents, industry suppliers, government officials,
and students.
Why You Should
Attend
To keep up-to-date on the latest mastitis and milk quality information,
and to network with other producers and colleagues who share a common
interest of mastitis control and quality milk production.
Short Courses and Farm Tour
There are four short courses and a farm tour being offered on Tuesday,
August 12. These events have limited enrollment, require
pre-registration and have an additional fee. Register early to ensure

Tour of Lambeau Field
Join NMC for a private tour of legendary Lambeau Field on Tuesday,
August 12. The tour will precede the reception which will
also be held at Lambeau. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up early.

Evening Reception at Lambeau Field
On Tuesday, August 12, an informal
reception will be held from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm in Lambeau Field -- home
of the Green Bay Packers. Featuring wine, beer and some local cheeses,
the reception provides an excellent opportunity to meet friends and
colleagues from all across the industry who are commited to producing
high quality milk and ensuring the future of the dairy industry.[details]
Main (General
Session) Program
The main general session program will be held on Wednesday,
August 13 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, with registration opening
at 8:00 am. Registration includes lunch, breaks, a reception, and a
copy of the proceedings which contains all the papers presented at the
general session. [details]
Spanish Seminar for Parlor Personnel [Seminario en Español
para Personal de Ordeño]
New this year!! For the first time, NMC will be offering a seminar
for Spanish-speaking farm employees who are involved in the milking
process. The seminar, to be held on Wednesday,
August 13 from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm, will be taught entirely
in Spanish. Instructors are native Spanish speakers with experience
in training milking personnel. [details]
Meeting Registration
and Hotel Deadlines
The pre-registration deadline for the conference is
August 4. However,
the events with limited enrollment
(short courses, farm tour, and tour of Lambeau Field) may fill up before
that date. After August 4, you may register at the door for the general
session program and for the Spanish seminar (both held on Wednesday,
August 13). There will be on-site registration for the short courses
and tours only if space is available (please check with the NMC office
after August 4). Hotel reservations should be
